Photo Blogging May be the Pinnacle of Modern Technology
Posted On 04/19/2009 07:10:22 by administrator

Many people (including me) feel that photo blogging is the most
exciting kind of blogging that exists and I'm aware of a certain member of KhmerSocializers.com who would excel in this arena or should at least explore it to full extent. Building and maintaining a photo blog is no more difficult than creating and updating a text-based blog, and many
people feel that the internet's high speed, full-color technology reaches the pinnacle of its appeal with the transmission of images. Posting photographs in a blog format on a daily, weekly, or occasional basis is a great
way to express oneself while reaching viewers in an emotionally charged and aesthetically engaging way, and surfing photo blogs can help one to get a whole new perspective on the world in which we live.

Many people who run image blogs are photographers by trade, but photo blogging is also very popular among hobbyists and amateur shutterbugs. To be certain, a lot of the most popular photo blogs have gained attention
because the pictures on them are of the highest artistic caliber, and a lot of the people who run these striking blogs are graduates of prestigious art institutes and have impressive professional portfolios.

However, some of the most well known and most often visited photo blogs
are as notable for their concepts as for the pictures themselves. Certain photo blogs, like the popular "Cute Overload" which features picture after picture of adorable animals, are more about the thematic content
of the pictures than they are about the style in which the
snapshots are taken.

The fact that photo blogs range from forums to display the work of highly skilled artisans to playful collections of curiosities shows that photo blogging is a truly diverse form. The fact that photo blogs are so easy to
build and to update makes this kind of visual communication very democratic, and enables people at all skill levels to become a part of the global conversation about the nature and value of photography today.

Whether one is an artist or hobbyist who wants to create a photo blog, or whether one is just somebody who enjoys learning about new places and things, spending some time looking at the most popular photography blogs on the internet can be a very rewarding endeavor. You can travel to another place or another time by seeing pictures of faraway locations and
long-gone eras. You can see your own neighborhood with fresh eyes by discover how local artists have photographed the town or city in which you live.

Photo blogging allows people to communicate all of these things and more, which makes it a very exciting part of the modern blogosphere.

Put them up -- I can probably work with them. I have a means to manipulate photographs then vectorize them; bringing them up to postcard quality.

thank you for the explaination!      also, i think i'm going to use this place as my experimental photo blogging.

I am pleased to hear you'll be photo blogging here. Your blog will drive traffic to this site. I'm also in the lookout for quality photographs of Srok Khmer/Cambodia for post card printing. These post cards will be sold here to benefit the Cambodian Children's Fund. Thanks.

Ah, that not what I'm asking.  I already have a Wordpress account (for my experiment in writing), Blogger (for keeping up with discussion about stuff, which I haven't touched in a long time) and few others floating around the web.

What I'm asking is how do one go about photo blogging?  I have an idea, but would like to hear some examples first.

Post a photograph or a serie of photographs and then write your blog based on your photograph(s). Your blog doesn't have to be lengthy; the beauty of photo blogging. You're basically a photojournalist; telling stories with your stunning photographs. Sometime, you don't even have to say a word in regards to your posted photographs -- let your photographs tell the story. So your blog would be mostly photographs on a topic or a mariad of topics. Here is an example.

You can blog here in BLOG, FORUM, ARTICLES section or you can go to Google Blogger.com or WordPress. There are also tons of other online sites where blog is always welcome. Google Blogger is great and free. If I didn't quite answer your question, keep on asking and I'm sure I will get it right on one of them.
